I think that is a fantastic idea! Most spouses do not appreciate how important traditional archery is to their spouse. You are indeeed a lucky man!

I'd have it done on a clear sticker so you can peel it off when you sell it.  I'm serious.  Not many would pay you what it's worth with such a personal message on it.

My Black Widow PSA V has a nice cross on the top bamboo overlay and a bull elk on the bottom.  I think anything that makes it personal for you is nice. Plus they look good!

Ron Block plays the banjo/guitar in Union Station (Alison Kraus' band).  He's a wonderful musician and a really talented songrwriter.  His gospel tunes are some of my favorites.

When I'm out in nature, I catch myself having my best conversations with God.  I often think...."How could someone see the things I see......and question if there's a God"?

Ron wrote a song called "There is a reason".  In it he writes....

"In all the things that cause me pain
You give me eyes to see
I do believe but help my unbelief"

On my new Silvertip, I had Dave inscribe...

"There is a reason"

I'm going to buck the trend and say no way. I love my wife to death but when I'm shooting or riding my bike it's "ME" time. When she's making her crafts it's "HER" time. It's your bow though and if it means that much why not?

Gmmat, very cool inscription. I like it! Thanks for sharing.

JJB, thanks, I definitely do plan on it...now just hafta figure out just what to put on it...

jrbows, thats a really slick idea! I like it, but not sure how our aniv. date would work in that scenerio.

joekeith,     :clapper:

bigugly1, thanks for the honest input. I can understand what you're saying. I guess I figure that I'm grateful that she is willing to give me that "me time" in the first place and this is a way that I can express that to her in kind of a unique way.

I read these messages with great delight. The quote from Proverbs 31: 10-31 was right on about the Capable wife.

I read some of the comments to my wife and she got a kick out of them. She really agreed with Keffer's comment " You think this bow is pretty? You out to see the woman who gave it to me." I hope she will let me get some more equipment although she is not interested in Bows or hunting activities.

:biglaugh:    Did you promise her that you'd honor her in a very special way on your next bow?!      :p            ;)    Surely that would convince her!      :p

She said that she thinks that I have enough bows already no matter what I put on the next bow.

Can you hear her laughing in the background

Hope you want to keep the bow if you inscribe it with something like that as it will decrease the value on resale. I know, I know, "I would never sell the bow!" Famous last words of a bow addict. I have said that many times myself.

I'm getting ready to order a bow, and was thinking of putting an inscription on it.  Now I think I may put my wife's name on it.  That way, when my mother-in-law says, "Where have you been spending all your time on Saturdays?"  I can say...

"I go on long walks with 'Ruthie' !!"
Life is a whole lot easier when you just plow around the stump.

That's a great idea!  It would be hard for me not to use the line "Grow old along with me!"  This is from the poem by Robert Browning to his wife.  It goes like this:

Grow old along with me!
The best is yet to be,
The last of life, for which the first was made:
Our times are in His hand
Who saith "A whole I planned,
Youth shows but half; trust God: see all, nor be afraid!"
