Gift bow with pics
« on: February 13, 2011, 07:10:00 PM »
I got permission to hunt this lady`s land this year & needed to get her a gift to show my gratitude(maybe buy some goodwill?)

I found out she used to shoot archery years ago & gave it up. She liked the idea of a hunter using the "old timey" bows like she used to use.

I figured what better way to promote trad archery & get her a gift at the same time. She has a bunch of grandkids too, it will work for them also.
My friend Dave Ricke & I collaborated on this new design, kind of "Shrew-like" . Dave made the forms & we glued her up & finished it. He is the mastermind & the craftsman, I am the finisher.

Birdseye maple riser, maple lams & brown glass. 60", 30# @28". I think she will like it.
