What a day

Ive been dreamn of a morning like this one for weeks. The sun was shining it wasnt cold. A perfect day for stumping. So i headed out to do some scouting and kill some stumps. The deer sign was easy to find and i was shooting great. I swear you could feel my body sucking the suns vitamins, or whatever you get from the sun, up. I felt like a million bucks. Any how it was a great day. My granfather who doesnt understand why i shoot at stumps with that bow (he only likes his pre 64 270) asked me tonight if i killed lots of stumps. I just smiled and said, yep Pap i killed lots of stumps and had a blast.

It was a beautiful day here in PA for sure! I was only able to get out yesterday, and it was quite windy, but still had a blast. Today would've been perfect!

Sounds like us PA Trad Gangers took good advantage of the nice weather today.
I didn't go stumping, but did give my longbow a good workout in the back yard.
It's supposed to be even warmer later this week. Too bad I'll be out of town for work.
Maybe Punxsy Phil will actually be right and spring is just around the corner.

It was gorgeous here in Washington State today also. Nearly 60 degrees and sunny. I only had a few minutes when I took the dog up near some fields to exercise. I let him run and I shot a few arrows. Almost all went where they were supposed to, or at least close (good shooting for me, as I 'm still working on consistency. I ended when the last arrow hit the deer track in a cut bank I was trying for from about 45 yards. Thought I should end on a good note, cause I usually shoot in the basement in the winter and that only allows about 13 yards. Great day to be out.

I lowered the brace height on one of my recurves and then went outside. The temperature made it up to 69 degrees today. I shot for 90 minutes and then came in. Tomorrow, it's supposed to hit 73 degrees. I'm planning on doing a little more target practice.

Mr. pauljr,
Beautiful day here as well, -39 degrees below 0 (F) with no wind and the air is crisp with a beautiful blue sky!
Spent time sorting cedar shafts by spine and weight. Oiled some leather, touched up the wax on assorted Filson's, renewed the edge on a couple of blades and watched a movie (dvd) with the Wife.
Life is good!
Best Wishes

Also went out stumping on saturday, only -15 below, worked quite well, killed some "snowstumps" and some real stumps, lost one nock tho after a hard hit on a tree trunk.
Today it's -29,7 below, no stumping today....
