Glove Type
« on: February 14, 2011, 01:26:00 AM »
Am new to the whole traditional archery world and have been trying to find a good glove. I don't have any trad style archery shops around so it's hard to try to find some different gloves and give them a test run.

Right now I am shooting a mid 60's Bear Kodiak Recurve at 45#. I find it to be pretty comfortable and don't see moving up in poundage to soon.

Any input on gloves would be much appreciated.

Thanks

I have used several gloves and I prefer the dura glove with cordovan finger tips. I got mine from a fellow tradganger and I think it is great. They are available from 3 rivers. You may also want to try some tabs alot of guys prefer tabs over gloves. Good luck

Ive tried some and now settled with the American Leathers Big Shot. Costs a bit but lasts very long.
My relaese hasnt been better than with the BigShot.
That said, i never tried a DuraGlove or a tab.

Try the Damascus glove. They last a good long while also. And they are priced reasonably.
