I need my coffee, my wife calls mine Diesel fuel because I make it strong & she swears that it would keep my truck going.

I sometimes go through 1-2 pots a day, never noticed any real effects on my shooting.

Heh, you are at a very serious stage in your shooting ability. I too USED TO avoid coffee till after the tournament.  Now I like the coffee better than a perfect score card.
But honestly, if you have serious competition it does make a difference.
But shooting out of a treestand after sitting 4 hours at 12 degrees can have me shaking a bit too.

Enjoy yourself as much as possible, if you want coffee, drink it. Its just a shoot.

I'm usually a one-big-cup-in-the-morning guy.

We were headed to a 3D shoot last summer and stopped at the Big "M" for bre4akfast. It was already getting hot, so I ordered some "fru fru" iced coffee drink. By the time we got to the shoot, my heart rate was up and I literally couldn't hardly come to full draw! Last time I ever bought one of those drinks!!

I enjoy a cup a day. It does wonders for the bowels.

We used to put the instant coffee packets that came in the MRE's under our tongue to stay awake during long ops. Sometimes when it got real bad the grounds would find its way into our eyes to add more pain to the mix.

Just like the old cadence, "looks like muddy water and taste like turpentine". As far as before shooting goes, a strong cup of Irish coffee does take the edge off a bad session. For some reason I seem to care less about how bad I’m shooting....
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying,
"Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?"
And I said, "Here am I. Send me!" Isaiah 6:8

So if you don't eat you don't age. Just soak donuts in your coffee. I mean really soak them, they become part of your coffee. Might work for a little while.

I really enjoy a cup or four when sitting on the porch in the cool of the morning.  This is only going to happen on my days off, so on work days I have to settle for the computer screen instead of the sunrise.

I don't think I could get my bow to full draw without coffee.

I don't get shaky until until the third quart.

I do not drink any caffine a few hours before I shoot.  I can not concentrate at all.  When I go hunting, I do not have any caffine.  It gets tough during all day rut sits, but I do just fine.  My overall calmness without caffine definitely helps my shooting.

I know, Me too Ken,

I was just curious how many people notice a difference in their shooting.  This thread is quickly becoming non trad bowhunting.

I love coffee and it's very good for you too.  I switched to organic a while back  and I noticed I didn't get the coffee headaches if I missed my cup in the am or pm.  As far as the taste of the organic, it tastes even better to me.

If I drink too much I'll get kind of a jittery numb feeling. Doesn't help my shooting at all.
Makes it hard to feel the shot.
I'm sure how much is too much depends on the person.
