I do like the looks of them(I would have to switch and fletch right instead of my customary left), are they tough? They look like a PITA to sharpen?

I been thinking about playing with a 3 blade setup for a while, I do have a couple Woodsman's that seem to shoot ok. Hmm..

I do    :D

Yes, they are tough, one of the toughest broadheads on the market.  They are machined from a single piece of steel, made by VPA just like the Terminator and Woodsman Elite broadhead, the difference being they are single bevel.

The single bevel is really pretty simple to sharpen, and as the angle is 26 degrees sharper than a traditionally sharpened double bevel three blade head, when you get it sharp it is SHARP    :scared:

Another advantage to the 34 degree angle that the blade is set to is that it can be sharpened with a Redi-Edge from 3Rivers.  Here's a quick video that a Glenn McPherson (L82HUNT) did a while back.

There are also videos I've done on sharpening wtih a simple to build jig and also freehand sharpening with just a file.  Here they are.

No problem. If you have an old three blade lying around you can file it down until you get it to single bevel and see what you think of sharpening them. I did this with some Woodsmans, Delta MA3's and some Terminators before I decided to have mine made. I really do think it makes for a better broadhead.
