Let's see your 4 fletched arrows....
« on: February 18, 2011, 07:11:00 PM »
I'm thinking about my next arrows using 4 fletch arrows, lets see some pics of your arrows with 4 fletch on them.
If it is easy where is the fun. That is why I use a stick and string. The only sight I need is with my eyes.

4" 4 fletch. This is how I fletch all my arrows now. Love them for arrow flight and stability in the wind.

Mine are kinda basic and the pic quality stinks since its from my phone, but here you go. 4" Raptor cut Flo green and Purple. I call them toxic.

Hey Charlie - nice looking arrows, interesting feather profile.  Is that a custom chopper or are you burning them that shape?

Great looking arrows. So it looks like most of you glue your feathers like this X instead of +
Am I right??
Thanks for your time and help.

Golee bum, good looking stuff!
Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. TGMM ♥

CR, smart looking arrows. I have 4-fletch but notice a speed difference slower than 3-fletch. Was considering 2-fletch MOF. Your short fletch should restore stability while not so much loss in speed over 3-fletch. Just curious.

I use 60-120 degree helical four fletch, cut as low and short as my Little Chopper allows.  Arrow FOC in the high teens.  Stabilizes a Grizzly or similar bhd just fine!

Advantages? Lower nocking point due to the 60-120.  Low noise and wind resistance due to less fletching height.

Can't say it's the best. Have plans to try more FOC and less fletch.  Will likely be messing with such things as long as I can pull a bowstring.
