Same as my big game hunting setup, this year it looks like my Hoyt Buffalo 54# at 27in, 28in Beman MFX 500's with 100gr inserts and Muzzy 125gr 4bl heads. Previously I have used my BW SA bows in 54 and 56#.
This arrow combo has worked out very well for me on many turkeys in the past and I usually get excellend performance. I have not gotten a complete pass thru on the last 9 birds I have shot with that arrow type setup, you do not need any stoppers with trad arrows, my arrows are normally hanging by the fletching, arrow 1/2way in and out, or broadhead fully embedded in the bird. I like to us a big, 4bl head to do as much damage as possible and with a good hit, most birds will just flop a few times and be down.
