I don't know about anybody else but "Blackie", my Anneewakee Addiction, and I are sure happy to see these beautiful, early morning harbringers of Spring.

We have somewhere north of 8" of the white stuff here.  We won't see pansies here for what seems like an eternity.

The way this winter has been we may be breaking out the snow camo in mid-April for turkey season.

Just got another 12" yesterday her to sit on top of the 18 to 20" we had on the ground still.  Looking forward to some flowers around here, eventually.  thanks for giving me a little taste of the future.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Bless your heart, Mainer - been there, done that (Fryeburg for 6 years - 2 seasons: Winter & Fourth of July).

I am sure we still have some cold (and miserable) days left ahead of us here in NC but those cheerful Pansy faces (one of my all-time favorites from my New England upbringing) just raised my spirits, and heightened my archery desires, so much this AM I had to share it with all of those perhaps less fortunate. Those Pansies returned of their own volition (they aren't supposed to do that but they sometimes do). Thanks for looking. Bless you all, bless us all.

Woah, we got another month of winter and then two months of bad sledding before we see any colour like that. We always look for the first crocus blooms with great relish.  Bob

Mr. ber643,
We have two more months of winter to look forward to.  Then one last snow storm, sometime during the first two weeks of May.
Thanks for sharing!
Best Wishes

I truly feel for all of our members who have had soooooo much snow during this tough winter, it's been bad enough in the more-or-less non-snow areas. Spring is coming though - it says here in fine print -    :jumper:

Thanks for the cheerful smiles! My husband loves those flowers, due to his childhood memories of his Nana's pansies. It is really cool to get out and look for Spring. Buds are swelling on the trees, daylilies are poking through the duff, and the bulbs in the garden look strong and green as they shove the mulch out of the way. Birds are singing their springtime tunes, and I noticed the Great Blue Herons back on their nests in the rookery on the 18th of this month.

Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. TGMM ♥

Nicly put, Killie - we also have three bright yellow Daffodils in bloom out front and as you said the buds are swelling on some of the trees.

We'll make it to the first Sissipaha shoot next month for sure, Ruddy, if not before then.

Bernie,
I might just make it down from NY for the Sissipahaw shoot in March. I could probably bring down a cooler full of snowballs for you to chuck at Preston!   :biglaugh:

I am so UPSET!  Another 70+ day with low humidity here in NE Florida.  Pollen is coating everything.  Darn the bad luck.....

I had a great walk in the snow this morning with my wife and my beagle.  Tuesday is our last day of squirrel season and bunnies are out of season by the end of March.  This winter is going by too fast for me.

The flowers are pretty, but so is the snow in its own way.  I love them both.

Still snowing in Salt Lake. Some parts of the mountains have over 12 feet of snow. I don't think spring will ever come. One thing the fishing will be good.
