Making a change
« on: February 26, 2011, 07:39:00 AM »
I am going to take a stab at not using a bow quiver this year. I have got a Cat quiver 7.5 and seem to like it. I have used the Black Widow Ace in the hole single arrow quiver in the past but now I shoot Snuffers 160gn. Have any of you had luck with the second chance type single arrow quivers that will hold a big three blade head. Thanks TERM

3 Rivers has one, but I haven't used it...only shoot two blade BH's. I don't see why it would be much different than using a 2-blade one, though, do you?

Thanks Andy for the post. Im not sure if I can make the front mount that is used with that one,and what holds the shaft in place. The widow ace in the hole has a clip for shaft and sets on side of bow, thanks again. TERM

I find the back quivers that lean out to either side make it difficult to get through thicker brush and trees. The Three Rivers option looks like a good alternative.

I think skookum makes a one arrow three blade quiver.  I saw one in my last 3 Rivers catalog.  I plan to get one for next hunting season to go along with my arrow master so I have one on the bow ready to go when stalking or as a fast second arrow when on stand.

I noticed this one doesn't seem to have a clip, and it would be expensive to buy the BW rig just for the clip! But if you have a clip already, this one looks like it could be tied on to place it on the side of the bow.

With this unit what holds the back end of the arrow?  When you remove the arrow to shoot, are you supposed to also remove the leather broadhead cover?  Doesn't it make a lot of noise flopping around at the shot?  I like the idea, just can't visualize how it works.
