Lone Wolf Bow Ordered
« on: February 26, 2011, 08:04:00 AM »
Met with John Maus Thursday and after a good long conversation I ordered what I believe is going to be one incredible looking and performing recurve bow. It is very unique to what you normally see from John. I don't want to spoil the surprise so we'll all just have to wait until it is complete and I can post picture. OK one tidbit…Osage. The waiting game has started.

Awesome Steve!!  I have only ever seen pics of John's bows.  Look forward to seeing yours in person!

I had a chance to shoot a Kayapo before the Kzoo expo on Friday afternoon.

Fit finsih was fantastic, and it was very quiet.

Tim, you'll have to give it a try....

Chuck
I knew going into this that my wait time may be long so I am under no illusion of a quick turn around.  What I am confident of is when the product is finished it will be extremely well made and to my specs. Everyone I know that has ordered from John has waited longer then they would have liked but not one of them has been disappointed with the final product and they all recommend his bows unquestioned. So, John may be guilty of promising too soon completion dates but as far as I have been able to uncover, he does not disappointed in the quality of the final product. When I was there, John glued up a bow for a good friend of mine in Traverse City who has waited longer then promised but I will tell you my friend is going to be knocked out with all the extra John tossed in to make the extra wait worth it. SO, the waiting game is on!
