Coon007, I can't get away for this hunt.  These are for friends, most of whom I've yet to meet.  I'll be tickled if the guys break all the points -- as they exit far-side shoulders and ribs.    :readit:

As always, those are simply stunning Woody.  Sure wish I was going on that hunt just for the chance to use one of those!

Hey Woody,
I am a lucky man, those are just fabulous looking heads.
Could you knap a point or two from a turn of the century whiskey bottle? I have a couple, found in an old dump site, they are black and about 3/4" thick, just the bottoms.

Woody,
you are a gifted person - not only with the "Ishi-stick" but with the camera too! This pictures are so gorgeous - I have to wear sun glasses to watch them!  
Have you ever considered doing a photo calendar or picture postcards? Pictures like these should win you a trophy in any photo contest!

The problem is, I know at least one redneck on that trip who thinks those heads are just too durned pretty to bust up on an ol bear.  :saywhat:

Falk, funny you mention a calendar -- I just finished finished shooting the photos for a calendar on modern flintknapping.  Should be very cool!

Tippit and JC, sure wish I could make it.  I hope we can hook up in Texas -- we'd have lots of sharp pointy things to play with, that's for sure!

Vance, if you ever get the itch to try one on your local critters, you let me know.  Never made a four-blade, though, so I don't think Charlie would be too interested.      :readit:    :wavey:    :jumper:

wow....I was going to take my knife river ebony handled knife to skin bears with...will post some photos.

If someone puts one of those in a bear we definitely will have a blood trail to follow..they do an awesome job on game.
