Shade Mountain Bowmen
« on: February 27, 2011, 05:38:00 PM »
Another successful and fun grocery shoot at Shade Mt. Bowmen, Beavertown Pa. last night. I think there were 28 shooters in the traditional class, seemed about an even split with the hi-tech guys. Thanks to Craig (monkeyball) and his wife Lori for keeping things running smoothly. Great shoots and a great club with more stickbow shooters showing up all the time. Can't wait for the 3D season to start.

I know I am being thick, but what is a "grocery shoot" John?

Each shooter shoots at his own individual target each round. 7 places awarded each round. We had 26ish shooters in the trad shoot so you had to be on.

Paul and John, glad you both showed up and had a good time. It was a blast.
                            Good Shooting,

Far rider..sounds like the guys spelled it out well enough for me. Fire one arrow per round per shooter, the 7 closest shots to center win a prize. Then round 2,3,4 and so on until all 12 rounds are shot. We even the threw in an additional 2 dollars for a cake and meat round. One shot, winner take all for a cake. Next round winner take all for a platter of Raw meat...(pork chops I believe), ready for the grill. Guys get darn competitive for a can of soup or box of mac and cheese!!!....try one at your club guys....great fun!
