Changing of the guard: Afghanistan CCAC
« on: February 28, 2011, 11:12:00 AM »
God's blessings to you all. I just wanted to take a few moments to inform you that the Camp Cuervo Archery Club range on Camp Sabalu-Harrison has some new caretakers now. As my time here in country is growing short it was my pleasure to turn the range over to a new group of archers who hail from Pennsylvania and Maryland. Sergeant Rogers and his First Sergeant stepped up to the challenge and have hit the ground running with plans to finish an elevated shooting platform, adding 3-D targets, and much more to the range. Keep your eyes out for these fine Soldiers from the Army Reserves here on the site as I have given them and many more this website as being an excellent source for information.
See you soon (especially you MBH members),

I leave for Afghanistan in a couple weeks, unfortunately I don't think I'll be anywhere near your range.

SALUTE!
Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. TGMM ♥

Vern,
Have a safe return home. Thank you for spearheading so much over this way.  I will be sure to post some pics of our range that we are building here on Connolly once our supplies start to arrive.
