New To Me Mohawk!
« on: February 28, 2011, 10:39:00 PM »
Hello all, would like to show off my new to me Mohawk longbow...it is 62" and 58#@28".  I was lucky enough to acquire this bow in a trade with Barry of Lefties R Us.  Barry was a pleasure to deal with and I could not be happier with the trade.  I have not got to shoot the bow that much yet, but it is very smooth drawing and I am very pleased with the few shots I have put through it.

Jeremy

The worst bow I ever had was wonderful.

Congrats. .........♠
Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. TGMM ♥

I know you will like that one!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways-BOW in one hand-ARROWS in the other-Body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming-WOO HOO! WHAT A RIDE!

fyi - it might pay to experiment with different brace heights for any mohawk.  i have/had 'hawks in lengths 62", 64", 66", and 68".  for the most part they all worked best for me in the lower brace height range.  my pair of 62" t/d 'hawks work best for me at 6-5/8", give or take 1/8" or so.
