im shooting a moosejaw longbow  64" 57# @ 28" with a carbon arrow for elk. what is my min.-arrow weight and my max.-arrow weight.    :archer:    5

This is just my personal use. 10 gpp to 12 gpp.

I would use what ever arrow you can put in the heart at your shooting distance.

Definitely 10 gpp.  I think when you get in the 11 to 12 gpp you can increase your range a little and still get penetration.

Having said that all the weight in the world is not as important as a scary sharp broadhead.
