Great story! You got a good'un.
I was dating this cute blonde in college, and was frustrated with school keeping me from bowhunting.  Had gone several times in Tuskeegee Nat Forest near Auburn during the quarter, but hadn't seen squat.  After an all-nighter and final exams, I hit the woods...got settled in under a big cedar beside a fallow green field, but fell asleep. Woke up just at dusk, shook myself awake and was staring at 2 ears and a nose looking at me.  A Deer! I was way out of position, but slowly got there and drew on her, and Miiiiiisssssseeeeddd.  Relaying the events to her back on campus, she said she'd prayed that I would see a deer, but not kill it!  Well, her prayers were answered and so were mine in a Godly wife.  Now, I don't let her pray for my hunting anymore   :)   Been happily married 20 years.

Yea, she's been the perfect mate!  She not only watched me bowkill my first deer she watched me bowkill my first mulie and watched me stalk and kill my first bear with a bow!  After 25 yrs. of helping me drag she left a catalog open on the couch with a picture of a deer cart circled!

Boy I didn't know where that one was going for awhile! It's tough enough to concentrate on the spot but have a girl friend in a mini skirt next to ya. Wow!   :nono:
