Silver fox?
« on: March 02, 2011, 02:00:00 PM »
I am thinking about ordering a Cari-bow Silverfox.
When googling, I found the following description in the Urban Dictionary:

"Silver fox: An attractive older man. Generally, one that has gray hair and is often desired by younger women. That Sean Connery may be old, but he sure is one silver fox!!"

Well, my hairs grew gray and I am 50+, so the silverfox seems to be the right choice.....

Yeah Ryan, when I remember correctly, you liked the Silverfox very much? I am still thorn between another Peregrine or a Silverfox...

did you shoot them both???

Yes...I actually have shot both and my very favorite of all Abe's bows is the silver fox. Perhaps due to the added weight of the take down and slightly larger riser, I found it to be an awesome bow. It's been the most accurate longbow I've shot!

I draw only 27"s so almost any bow over 56"s is good for me. That said, I've been really enjoying shooting 60-62" bows!

Manitoba Stickfinger, is that the SilverFox from Abes inventory list? If so it's a good thing you got to it first. I ended up buying the SLynx from his inventory list. It's the one pictured on the Homepage of his website. I'm just waiting for a string to come in and then he will be shipping it out. Can't wait to try her out. This will be my first custom bow, but I've heard nothing but good things about his bows and workmanship. Anyways, very sweet looking bow you got.

Whoops I made a mistake. I meant that above question for Danny, not Manitoba Stickflinger. Sorry, must have been looking at the bow too much

Norbert,

I never had a zebrawood and ebony Silver Fox. I have a zebrawood Brack Quest with an ebony stripe and Zebrawood and wenge Brack Quest. Those two will never go anywhere.

Hi headhunter, did you buy the one with the antler heelcaps and the woodburn of the deer on it?
