Me too, Steve.  Closest I can estimate, it's been 1500 or more since 1974.  Very few were custom bows, most for the collection or for the fun of trying some old bow I'd never shot before.  I've kept a couple hundred, but that's about all I can display any more.

Will admit I went way overboard with the old bows.  But, it's been fun!

1) Quillian Patriot - still have
2) HH Westley Special - traded
3) Javaman Sweetgrass - traded
4) Dwyer Defiant - still have
5) 60" Silvertip - traded
6) 58" Silvertip w/2 limb sets - still have
7) 60" orig Silvertip w/2 limb sets - still have
8) Morrison Cheyenne - still have
9) 64" Griffin - still have
10) 58" 67 Bear KH - still have
11) 58 SS Samuari - still have
12) 60" Griffin - still have

Funny, but I shot the Patriot for 14 years before really even looking for another bow.  Bought the Hill in 2004 and was satisfied with the two bows until 2007, when the buying/trading frenzy began to pick up.  Now, I've already bought 2 and traded for a third in the last 2 months.  At this rate, no telling what I'll have by the end of the year!

I should be okay unless someone throws a LH Blacktail up for sale!  :help:

I started thinking about this thread, and did a search and found it.
Added a Hummingbird(great bow)but a little to much weight had to sell it.Added another Greatree and now the ILF bug has bitten. My thinking was, limbs are cheaper then buying a whole bow.Lot of new and great limbs and risers out there,(I have to be focused)  :knothead:

1 Black Widow PMA (my recurve solution)
1 Black Widow PLX (my longbow solution)
1 Bear Polar (sold)
1 Dennis Willover longbow (sold)

I've shot Acadian Woods, Silvertips, Shrews, Dwyer, RER, ACS, Robertson, Liberty, Byron Ferguson, Bob Lee, Hill Country, Big Joe River Bows, Navajo, Cari-bow, others...???

I've pretty much determined that BW is the way I want to go, but there's a lot of decent bows to choose from these days.
Life is a whole lot easier when you just plow around the stump.

2006  64" Black Widow PMA
2009  66" Black Widow PLX
2023  56" Cascade Archery Whitetail Hawk
2023  52" Cascade Archery Golden Hawk Magnum

Not enough room to list.    My best count is 88 to date (that covers a period of 40 years, though).  I recently did sit down and list all I could remember.

This month marks a year since I've even thought about buying a bow. Last one was a griffin, I have 4 now. I've had 1 Morrison, 2 zippers, 1 Rio bravo, 1 centaur, 2 shrews, sold one. Sold a bob Barnes self bow and a hour hunt master. I'm glad I finally saw the light and stuck with my griffins. It's been a joy to try out all those others.
