Question about arrow dynamic durability
« on: March 03, 2011, 10:04:00 PM »
Apparently really put a beating on my arrows these past two days...I had one shaft split at the knock like it had been robin hooded (if I could be so lucky)....and the other shaft had the knock break down in it...

is this typical with these? Realistically ive only put about 30 shots/ arrow since I got them
Ben Pearson Cougar 40#
PSE Black Hawk T/D 55#
Bamboo backed Osage Self bow 57#
Ivory Hunter 60#

Some carbons can crack on the nock end on hard hits. What I like to use on my Arrow Dynamic arrows are G-bushing or Easton ACC 3-28 uni-bushings and then use G-nocks.I feel epoxing in the uni-bushing really strengthens the nock end of the shaft.Plus you can get G-nocks in two different throat sizes to fit your string.Never had any problems with my AD's in Trad Lite's or Heavies.

I use nock adapters and standard classic index nocks on my AD trad lites and they are unbelievably durable. Great shaft.

Because I crown dip instead of using wraps, I installed the nock adapters and glued on regular nocks. Pretty tough arrow shaft plus I like the tapering.

Had the same problem when i first got the A/D shafts and solved it just like what the other guys are saying to do, i called the person i bought them from and he called the A/D people and they replaced any arrows that split  on me like that, i just had to return the bad arrows.   seems to me the people at A/D are a great company that want to make there customers happy.  Have not had another one split since using the adaptors and glue on nocks.
