Fell off the Wagon
« on: June 13, 2007, 11:19:00 PM »
Well, me and a couple of buddies went hunting back in Feb, and I just haven't had the urge to shoot since then. I have been working alot and going overseas, but just haven't shot in my free time. I even put my targets in the garage. Before, I would spend hours in the backyard shooting, or in the garage fiddling with arrows. I just lost the urge. Last week, a buddy I was stationed with several years ago called and said he was coming to San Antonio in August, and we decided to go pig hunting. That got me motivated to shoot again. Got the bows down and waxed the strings and checked my arrows. I am even going to a 3-D next weekend. I'm back on the site.
I found the Lord again--although he never lost me!

Wecome home again!
The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.

Welcome back! It's funny, I go through the same thing every year it seems. I shoot during the spring/summer, hunt, then ski all winter then never really think about archery again until the spring returns. I am curious as to this is true for you other guys here. At least those of us who don't have a freezing cold winter!  :)
