Congrats on the hog and good time!
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

As always my friend... It was a pleasure reading that. Congrats!

I was there,

Tom worked harder than anyone else in camp to get that hog.

Those hogs were operating primarily after dark.
There were plenty of big Texas sized rattle snakes out there as well.

He hunts hogs as hard as I hunt elk.  Tom would make a great elk "team hunting partner".

Tom, I never got around to asking if you hunt elk?

Hope to share a camp with ya again..........

Thanks!  That was an excellent read.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

Tom hunts everything as hard as he does pigs! It's never for lack of effort.

Congrats as always and can't wait to go after some more PIGS!

Your story is so well written, and contains so much detail about your exciting hunt, that you don't need to fill it up with pictures. Your words put them into our imaginations. Congrats on your hog, and for getting out of there with most of your skin.

PS, I taught Paleface everything he knows. :smileystooges:

Yep Tom,

I know the feeling.  I train hard and it takes a couple days to get to full speed out there.  We hunt at around 10,000'.

As far as wives are concerned, I've promised to remodel the house so I have to "pay up".  I've got a 25 year wedding anniversary on the 30th of August too.....I think I will wait til 2012 for Elk.

I would have been at Waterloo but I was on call at work .............

Do you ever get up for The ITBS shoot in Ames Iowa? (Memorial weekend) If so look around, Larry and I will be there as will Ned and of course a whole lot of good folks.

It is a small world we will bump into each other again.................Take care Tom......
