I really enjoy this thread.... don't  post on it as most of my pics ove the las 25 years are scattered all over the site and would take me days to find them... just for the record, lots of hearts and lungs with plus signs in them, and a few with Tristars..... and a few with axe sized 2 blades.

Sorry, I don't understand this thread anymore. What's the point? Trying to out gross the next guy? I mean, C'mon we all know broadheads kill by hemorrhage. Why glorify it. I'm old enough to remember the campaigns in magazines years ago to clean up our act and ur critter before taking a pictures.

Please Terry, shut er down.

Gun I’d venture to guess you’d be the minority with your opinion of this thread.  All broadheads leave a hole of course and a lot of the holes might be similar,  but there is still educational value to this thread!  The title says it clear as day……. So one should expect to see game with a hole that corresponds to the broadhead used to take it!  If one does not want to see such images they can simply not explore the thread!  There is nothing gross about it! There are new broadheads that hit the market all the time.  Folks especially beginners might like to see results these heads create,  more so than the expired animal but the mechanical results of the gear used to make it happen!  Terry / mods,  do no such thing as removing it please!

We would be better served to educate using proper equipment and SHARPENING broadheads to RAZOR sharpness.
I used to think file sharp w burr removal was good enough. In the last 7 years since using single bevels and getting them mirror smooth and super sharp I see the vast majority of my kills fall in sight.

I stand by my statements above. Carry on.

Yeah, I'd say the board consensus is that this thread is here to stay considering it started in 2011. One of my favorite threads on this board.

Can you explain why you added the serrations/dips along the blade edge? Thanks

Texas Whitetail doe vs 150 grain Grizzly single bevel.

I was just curious. I had seen variations of the design done by other guys/companies. There is a thought that it assists in "grabbing" and slicing more. I don't know if that's the case, but it sure worked well. I also have a Bonehead 1-1/4" head that I've done it to as well. Haven't ran it through anything yet, but I think I will prefer it over the narrower Cutthroat.
