Good Mac ebony with the light brown stripes is getting hard to find. It an excellent riser wood. I looked for a while to find this piece. Not the best grain but not bad either. It has an Ipe I-beam

I just finished this one last week, the only macassar are the .019 limb veneers, bottom pic is bow before cutting riser out and final sanding/shaping and finishing of the limbs

I made this one last fall. Macassar ebony and east indian rosewood. Has cocobolo stripes with osage accents.
