Brace Height???
« on: March 06, 2011, 01:57:00 PM »
A co-worker has lent me a 20# Ben Pearson Pony recurve for my daughter to use, but I'm not sure of the proper brace height range for this bow.  Anyone out there have any idea on where I might start to get this bow set up?  Thank you in advance!

If it's a 60" recurve, the recommended brace height is 6 1/2"-7 1/2".
Blacktail TD Recurve: 66", 42# @ 30". Arrow: 32", 2212. PW: 75 Grains. AW: 421 Grains. GPP: 10.02
Blacktail TD Recurve: 66", 37# @ 30". Arrow: 32", 2212. PW: 75 Grains. AW: 421 Grains. GPP: 11.37

Thanks Night Wing.  I think the string on the bow is original and may be a little stretched.  It had absolutely no twist in it when I received it, and when strung, the brace height was 7- 7/8".  I think I will head up to the shop and pick up a new one.  Thanks again.
