Anybody try this product.How is it to shoot out of?Would you use this insted of a ghillie suit????

It's by far my favorite.  Works every bit as good as a ghille but is light, very versatile, and dries fast.  Pair it with a Waldrop Pacseat and hunt anywhere!

My buddy recently got one.  I don't like it nearly as well as my Rancho Safari longcoat.  For one thing the thing is loud (rustles badly). It is light and can be used as a blind if you want.

yes, it comes out of the bag a bit noisy. They don't wash it before shipping and the fabric must be stiff to cut the leaves properly. Washing it and drying it will significantly reduce the noise. I have had many sales and reports from many of how much they like it. I try to sell stuff that I would use and I would never use this without washing it first. After that, I find it to be much friendlier than the ghilies. lighter, cooler, and since you can easily remove it to walk and then quickly put it back on, is not affected by briars and snags and such.

My wife uses some type of scent wash and throw in a pair of shoes. I wold think something like tennis balls wold work to (while in the dryer).

I took a look at them this weekend at TBOF and they looked great! One thing I liked is they are very well ventilated and would be great for warm weather bow hunting in the South! As Big Jim told me some trimming would be necessary but a good quality tool to have in your bow hunting tackle box!

I have been practicing with mine. I am glad to hear about washing it.
Big Jim's video on using and wearing it is good. One thing I did was to get a full length armguard (from 3 Rivers, Cat guard) which helps keep the bowstring free; the video shows Jim using two regular armguards for the same reason. He also wears a binocular harness to hold the suit tighter up into his armpit for string clearance, a good idea.
It is not hard to adapt to, but some time should be allowed for practicing with it, just like anything. The practice sessions are most entertaining for spectators (wife, neighbor's kids), you may want to go off in the woods somewhere...

Don't be fooled by how it comes out of the package.  As Big Jim said, a couple washings and it is quiet.  I can't say enough good about it and how friendly it is to carry with you and hunt with.  It's also simple to modify the color scheme to fit your terrain by just pinning on a couple hanks of colored jute or cut up fabric.  It doesn't have the shredded pile of grass look of the ghille, but it is every bit as effective, and in my opinion, much more functional.

The only area you really have to watch is right below your bow arm armpit.  A little wrap of shock cord and it's out of the way.  I usually don't even bother, I just tuck it back behind me and have no problems shooting.  The material just doesn't grab on the bowstring or bow tip like the long material of a ghille does.

I shot with my bush in the bag on for the first time this evening. Used a dark colored wool sock with the toes cut out on my bow arm and a pair of binoculars around my neck and tucked under my left arm. No problems as all. And yes, a couple of washings with fabric softener really quieted it down.

I washed mine three times Before I even used it.  Then I put it in the dryer on fluff no heat,Twice for 70 minutes ,

When I took it to the woods and put it on and was walking with it ,I had to look to make sure I didn't forgot to put it on it was so quiet !!!

And I like it a lot better than the Gilley

Decided on BigJims bush-in a bag instead of a ghillie suit.Just got done ordering it.hope I made the right move.His product seems more versitile............Will soon find out..............

i got one from big jim and love it. it was noisy but after a few washes it is fine. i weigh 74kg (about 150lbs ringing wet) so it was way to big for me. i'm pretty handy on my sewing machine so i did some fairly big alterations. i cut the sleeves off and made them smaller and sewed them back on in a better postion. i made the head hole smaller and added a collar. (i hate mesh against my skin) i trimmed the bowarm of most of the leaves in the string path.

i also wear an elastic strap around my chest when wearing it. it now looks like a normal leafy top that turns into a poncho from the waist down. after a few hours on the sewing machine i had it just right, FOR ME.

These things are very adaptable. If you use your imagination, they can work for  most any situation, or use them like they were built with only a little trimming.

I am no doubt a little larger than average, but a couple of straps here and there gather everything up and out of the way for me.

I have been getting a lot of positive feedback from this product. Can't wait to get some trophy photos. Ya'll, I would apreciate any photos of you using the bush n a bag, with or without harvested game.

that's what the warning on the packet says, "do not setup directly on game trails as injury from trampling may result".
