58" Thunderstick Mag & 29" draw, a good mix?
« on: June 14, 2007, 08:20:00 PM »
I'm thinkin about a Thunderstick Mag, 58" at my 29+ draw.  I've got a call into Jim Reynolds but I figure he's up at Comptons this week.

Anyone out there with a 29+ draw shooting a 58 inch Thunderstick Mag?  I've got 1 other 58 inch bow and to be honest, it loads up a bit in that last inch or 2 of draw.  None of my 60" bows do this so I figure with my draw length I'm right against where a 58 incher starts to stack a bit.

Any opinions?
Otto

I've had one for several years now, 58"-55@28 I draw 28" and have had several of my friends that draw 29" shoot it with no ill effect and no complaint about finger pinch, my son has a 54" mag and niether of us have any problems with 28" draw on his. He's also won several 3d shoots with his bow. You might say we love our Thundersticks we have 5 in the family.

I've got a 58" Thunder Stick Mag and I draw about 28.5". It is the smoothest shooting bow I have used.

Bows are supposed to be "man-tall" Otto. At least that's what my dad taught me. That means, your supposed to shoot a 76" er and I'm supposed to shoot the 58" er   :biglaugh:

Call Tom at Bearfoot Traditions 515-282-4623.  He keeps Mags in stock.  I am sure he would be able to let you know.  He should be open today after 6pm central.  Closed on weekends.
