Virginia Beach
« on: March 12, 2011, 10:45:00 AM »
In 2009, the last time I was at VB, I was told the Oceana Naval Station would be building an 80 yard outdoor archery range in 2010, which would be open to the public. Does anyone know if it was built, and if so, has anyone shot there?

First I've heard of it, but if I can catch up to a Navy dive buddy friend of mine I'll get him to do some checking.

I will go and see for you. Haven't been to that side of Oceana in a couple of years. I have property to shoot on so no need. I'll take a run over there in the next day of or so and get back to you.

Thanks for the replies.  It was supposed to be built back by the skeet shooting fields.  I was talking to an employee in the office at the fields.

I think the skeet fields are off of Potters Road, which runs from Oceana Blvd to London Bridge Road.

recurveman, I saw that also.  I thought maybe he lives under a rock on the ocean floor is the reason he doesn't know much about what is going on around there.   LOL  Ya think maybe he meant to the west?
