Young slingers back from 1st 3D shoot!
« on: March 12, 2011, 07:03:00 PM »
Took my nephews Estevan age 9 and his lil brother Darren age 8 to their very 1st 3D shoot today.  They had a blast, and after 5 hours of shooting did not want to leave yet! But, uncle was tired and they were fine with finally going home.  They said they can't wait till next time. I used my phone to take pics, don't know if they will turn out, but we will try.  My good friend Smoke1953 will post the pics for us.

Well not only did i put the order in  last night for the boys Mad Dog Pup longbows, that my sister is getting for them, I also did a lil something for the boys myself. I Called a great friend named Bobby Ratliff at HandH leatherworks and ordered each of the boys one of his AWESOME quivers with matching armguards.  These boys will be set!!!

As we were out shooting, we came to a buck target that was about 25 yards away, the younger of the two boys says" Uncle you aint going to kill that one , it;s to far!!"  then the older one blurted out"" Yes he will , he is the greatest hunter in the world!!''  BOY!! talk about PRESSURE!!  All the things going through my head as i concentrated so hard to make a good shot.   Thank God, i DRILLED it!! LOL.   just me and the boys, it was awesome.

Fantastic!!  What a grand bonding for you and your nephews.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.
