There are alot of great bows out there but for a D-shaped, mild R&D longbow in my opinion the Mohawk can't be beat.  The smoothness of them is something special, mine are all 66" but I have a 62" takedown on loan to me and I honestly cannot feel a difference at my 29" draw.
Bottom line is great bows, great price and great bowyer to work with.  Well worth it to check 'em out.

Good luck, Eric.

Like I told Huntschool, I'm gonna gather all this information and hopefully shoot several at Cloverdale and Compton. Then maybe, just maybe, I can make up my mind. With all these decision's it's gonna be hard. I sure appreciate all the help!

So many bow's so little time!

Thank's Jason

I have both the Black Widow LAG and PLX Osage. Love them both. BW builds a great bow. Smooth and accurate

Always best to shoot a bunch if possible, says the man who bought two without ever shooting one.  I love the Horne I bought used here on tradgang, and am really becoming attached to the Iroquois I got in the auction.  Took a little getting used to going from a larger recurve grip, but now shoot them over the recurve.  There must be some trad shoot coming up in Indiana to attend and talk to guys at.  I am sure whichever bow you choose to try from the recommendations you will enjoy!

I will say for a mild R/D it is hard to beat a 7 Lakes or a Roy Hall, both are very quick and both super quiet for their designs. If ya go with a harder R/D than there are a bunch, Kanati,Shrew,RER a ton of great bows and bowyers out there! Shawn

Tomahawk by Three Rivers Archery give em a chance and they won't disappoint you. Might be the sweetest bow I have ever shot.

Jim Gainey also makes one of the best longbows out there. Very nice shooting bows without any hand shock at all, and very good speed also. check out Black Creek Bows.com, you wont be disapointed

Man for RD longbows there are a lot of excellent choices out there as everyone has brought up.
I think there are more than there are for recurves.
I only have 2 a widow and a pronghorn. They are both great bows but I tend to lean towards the pronghorn

Good luck in your search
John.

I'll throw in another vote for Holm-Made Osprey.

I haven't shot very many longbows, like you I'm more familiar with recurves.  But, I just received a Holm-Made, and I'm very impressed with the performance, fit and finish, beauty and Chad has been great on the service end.

He has a few Ospreys in the Sponsor's Classifieds.

Longwalker and Osprey are really close in price, shooting qualities and performance. The Addiction longbow that Roy Hall makes for Anneewakee Archery (John Dill) is a great shorter length option. The Lynx by Abe Penner  (Caribow) and the new Stalker longbows would round out my top choices. Good luck.
