Holy Cow! Terrys form clock
« on: March 15, 2011, 10:54:00 PM »
I guess when you see a guy walking off the mountain with a heart shot goat of some kind draped over his shoulder, you should probably listen. I finally checked out the form clock threads like I should have from the beginning. I can't believe how much more I'm getting out of my bow. More importantly, increased accuracy and stability. I've recently sanded out my knocks and was jacked about the gains there, but wow. Thanks for all the info and effort you put into that, Terry. (if you read this) I'm learning the value of knowledge. It's scary. It's all coming together.

CAT22,

Welcome to Trad Gang.

I've been on this site since early on and have read a ton of information that benefited my shooting. However, nothing else has been as helpful to me as that form clock. For some reason that put it all together for me.   That was 4 years ago or whenever Terry put that up here.
Pictures are worth a thousand words. Now instead of having to listen to all the talk about how to improve or fix your shooting....back tension, front and rear sight, and neutral alignment... you can just think about the clock.  9 times out of 10 it will fix whatever is wrong. Keep it simple.  Guess that is the point of his "steak and potatoes" quote

You are certainly welcome sir.  I love hearing improvement success shooting stories...almost as much as hunting stories.

Stay after it!

Would someone mind pointing me to the sanding knocks thread? I did a search but didn't come up with anything.

The form clock helped my shooting as well...Thanks Terry

Well, Terry, if all goes well I'll have a hunting story for you. I'd take some of the attention away from your goat pic, but i'm deathly allergic to whitetail deer dander. I'f I put one on my shoulders you wouldnt be able to recognize my face due to all my orafaces being swollen shut. Isn't that the worst thing you've ever heard? I'm like a cocaince addict being allergic to cocaine. Again, Thanks.

Wow! Out of all the advice I've gotten over the years that may be the most practical. All this time I've been trying to get rid of it when I should be embracing my affliction and using it to my advantage! I'm such a dummy. Thanks a ton, Charlie.
