My new Black Creek Banshee TDR
« on: March 17, 2011, 12:05:00 AM »
Here is my new Banshee TDR. I went to Jim's and put together this little package. The limbs are from a bow Jim built a while ago for a friend of ours that wanted to go lighter so I bought his limbs.
The riser was custom made for these limbs out of some grey actionwood, bacote and a piece of  black phenolic with a few red and white stripes for color.
It sure is nice to have a custom bowyer as a friend!

That is some Very Beautiful work! What are the specs of the bow as the riser from the photo looks really short. Very Nice!   Ken

The riser is just a little shorter than normal, it's 12" instead of 13". That makes it a 55" bow. It draws 41# @ 28"

How beautiful.

You have done well. If it was possibly any  nicer, then it may be merely a show case bow and too nice to consider roughing up.

Conrats! The bow made me take a 2nd and 3rd glance before captivation set in.

I live maybe 5 minutes from Jim. Easy to get a grip just like you want when you are there while it's being made.
