Early morning stump shoot

The rattlers are out in abundance in the desert right now, so I went stumping right at sunrise, while it is still too cool for them to be active. Desert sunrises are awesome, and this one was no exception. Had to share a view of what the Sonoran desert looks like as the sun comes up.

Beautiful! Is it legal to harvest the Buzz worms? Just curious, thanks, Mike.

That's beautiful.
I guess mud and wild rose thorns aren't so bad. That's the most dangerous stuff I have to worry about.

I said harvest but what I really meant was KILL,lol. When I was in El Paso, Texas we were not allowed to mess with them at all. Which of course means that there will be one around every corner.

Anything that nice puts it ALL in perspective! Thanks. Keep your wits & keep the scaled desert cacamaker out of your kitchen. Not afraid of them, just afraid of what they may make me do.

Yes, they are legal in Arizona, but I don't feel like forking over the cost of a non resident license. I'll be Texas bound for hogs in a couple of weeks, and with the 5 day non res tag there I can make a few bow backings, and hope to get the chance.
Charlie, damn right! I can think of lots of things more fun than getting bit.
