My 1st Shot
«
on:
March 17, 2011, 11:37:00 AM »
My new Half Breed arrived this morning.
The wind is blowing about 20 to 30 mph but I still just had to shoot it outside.
Here's me drawing it for the very 1st time.
Here are the rest of the pictures I took.
You can see by my 1st six arrows that we are going to get along just fine.
Thanks for looking!
God bless,Mudd

Muddster, you already know you're on my fav list. Your group proves dish is enough of a match for some good shooting. Get some time under your belt w/this one. Let that halfbreed eat awhile! Beauty!

straitera "Buddy" I have to give you a whole bunch of the credit for me shooting Hill and Hill style bows.
If it had not been for your encouragement to give these style bows another try after my history with the "OLE Big Ben" or whatever that shoulder, wrist killer was called, I'd never have picked up another straight limbed longbow.
Thank you my friend.
Almost all of my r/d's are gone now and have mostly been replaced with Hills and Hill style bows.
I have a couple of mild r/d's that I still hanging onto but I'm not sure for how long. I mean there are more hill styles I am dying to shoot. Miller's, Nate Steen's.. ect, ect, ect.
God bless,Mudd

That is some fine shooting! I don't group that well at 5 feet.
Best of luck with that handsome bow!

I recently got a new bow and I know how you feel, if I could only shoot mine as well as you, I would be happier. The best bow in the world does not correct bad habits.
I am happy for you.

If you shoot like that in a 30 mph wind, I'll bet you are breaking nocks on a still day.
I like your target, it looks like arrows would just push it out of the way instead of destroying it. What is it made from? It looks like a ping pong ball on a wire...

Beautiful bow and nice shooting! Doesn't get any better than that with a stick and a string! I second your riser reference buddy! Life is meant to be good and Traditional Archery adds to it. Best to you!

Wow! The wood colors and the leather together are striking. Together with those arrows and that hat, you will make a tree stand look good.
