Larry Surtees

The doorbell rang just a little while ago, and it was my mailman delivering a package from Highnoonhunter (Bobby Ratliff).

My Mailman didn't have the usual smile on his face, and then he said I have bad news -- look!

He said before you sign for it, open it and let's examine the damages so I can witness it -- he is a great guy and hunter as we exchange "tells" all the time.

Luckily, after opening it, and going over the quiver carefully, it is ok.

This is an awesome quiver.  The pics don't do justice.  I'll be using it tonight to carry arrows to a local weekly Thursday night shoot.

Thank you Bobby!  I'll carry it with pride as it is in memory of my son who recently died.

WHEW!
To my knowledge, that makes two that has happened too. But neither has had damage.

Hope it gives you many years of service Larry, and you make lots of memories as you use it, and it always reminds you of Chris. I had never heard of Texas Ebony until he told me about it. He even told me where to buy it. I'm glad I never used the rest of it for anything after I made his quiver.

Bless you Larry...

Very nice!  Thankfully it wasn't damaged.  And nice work, Bobby.  I love mine.  It's my go to quiver for hunting.

I pick-up a previously owned one from this site, and it went elk/deer with me this past season and I really enjoy this quiver. I wear it to shoots and get a lot of compliments on the quiver. It is eligant craftsmanship, hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine.

I would like one of the woven wool straps though I really like the way that looks will have to try and contact highnoon to get one.

That's a looker!

HNH makes some beautiful quivers...

Curious, what number are you up to now Bobby? What number is that quiver? You've come a long way from my "Good' Ole #66".

My 10 year old daughter has one too and loves it!

LOL! I've made several different variations benzy. Your daughter has #100 of one variation.

Larry's is #N014 of my newest version.

Total I've made around 300.... maybe.... something like that. Didn't start numbering them until a few years ago.

Oooh. I hate using those stickers. I always scratch out the "possibly". If I notice it, it likely is damaged. At least the box is!

What a terrific quiver!
I am so glad that it came through the gorilla test unscathed!

Larry.. what can I say? Your son was stamped true to the prototype, and he will live forever here and in the hearts of those he touched. Never met him, but I know his mettle. Dealt with him numerous times, with no fear because of his honor. May the Lord bless every step you and yours take, and may this quiver give you joy, as it is a reflection of the honor that we feel toward you and your son.

An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it's going to launch you into something great.
