bowhunterksb32,

Several years ago I found a cedaer arrow, brown stain, white crest and turkey feather flethings in the wildlife area. Can't rmember what type of point was on it... I thought, there has to be another trad hunter here,,, somewheres... Could it have been your arrow? I still got it!

Me and the wife are out at the wildlife area alot. Even if it aint hunting season we just like to go hike and drive around out there. I drive a green jeep wrangler, so if you see us,,, flag us down.

We should hook up out there someday to chat and swap stories.

Hi fellas Robert here I live in Perry County. Anyone heard of Tracy Trickett and Trees Traditional archery in Utica? I have been there quite a few times and often get supplies there, but anyway I'm not sure if he still is but he was a bowyer for Ancient Spirits archery in Hebron and sold Ancient Spirits bows at his Shop. Very nice bows!

bowhunterksb32,

I think, basically, they did away with the urban tags and created the antlerless tags.

"September 29 to November 25 by purchasing additional antlerless deer permits. Under the new regulation, hunters can take one additional antlerless deer in Zone A, up to two additional in Zone B and up to three additional in Zone C"

As I read that, I think that hunters in Zone C can take three deer with special deer permits and three deer on antlerless permits from Sept 29-Nov. 25.  In Zone B, they can take two deer on special deer permits and two deer on antlerless permits during that same time.  In Zone A, they can take one deer on a special deer permit and another on an antlerless tag during that time period.

Basically, I get the message that the DNR wants us to kill more does!  Darn it, I may just have to take them up on that!
"So much do the savages esteem the wood of this tree for the purpose of making their bows, that they travel many hundred miles in quest of it."  -- Meriweather Lewis' description of the Osage Orange tree in a letter sent to Thomas Jefferson.

I'm sorry I'm going to miss it, I'll be at ATAR. If we get back early enough on Sunday, I might be able to catch the tailend of it.
