Anybody shoot the thunderstick bows? Looking at maybe getting the mag. Looking for a little input before I purchase one. Really like the lost creek bows as well.

Never shot a thunderstick, but do have a lost creek on order. Will post pics when it arrives which should be soon. Both bows are favorably reviewed.

My brother and I both shoot Thunder Stick Mags. Mine is a 60" bow and 42@28. His is 56" and 45@28. I shot about a dozen longbows in the weight range I wanted and decided on the thunder stick. None of the others shot near as good for me. My brother went to the bow shop a week later and shot the same bows and he too decided on a thunder stick. I like the 60 inch bow since my draw length is 29 inches and it pulls a little smoother than the 56 inch bow, but they are both very nice. I shot a few other thunder sticks that were there and they were great too, just a little more pricey with all the options on them.

Here's some pictures and a short video of our bows.

i've mentioned this before on the site on a few occasions, but i don't mind saying it again. all the bows i've ever had have been previously owned. i had a moab once that i had to sell a few years ago. jim is currently making a moab for me just like it. (see pic on his site) it's the only bow i have ever had made for me. i think that should say somethiing-----.

Jim makes and outstanding bow.  I have owned a MOAB and shot a lot of his other bows.  If you ever run across one of his older recurves, they were excellent shooters as well.  Jim is also an excellent man to deal with.

I had a T Mag for a number of years and finally sold it to finance another bow--I've been sorry ever since and will order another at some point. It was the smoothest, most silent and fastest bow I've ever shot, and I've shot a lot of them! Jim makes one heck of a bow!

My cousin gave me his MAG.  Now, I've always been a recurve shooter, and this bow shoots almost as smooth as my Black Widow. it shoots pretty fast as well. 60" 56# @ 28" in Osage.  Its also whisper quiet.  I don't think you can go wrong with one.

My dad bought me a thunderstick and it was my very frist real adult bow.  In my modest collection it's the one that always stands out in my mind.  Shooting that bow for the first time was an impressive sight.  My dad and i watched as each of my arrows flew wherever i pointed it.

In short, great bows,  don't pass one up if you have the opportunity to buy it.

My son hunts with a T-stick Mag. That thing spits out an arrow with authority for sure.
His was built for him when he turned 12, its 49#@26".

I have 2 MOAB's, and a III. Have another MOAB takedown on order, which should be done in a month or so. Thats gonna be my new elk huntin bow.

Im a 100% Thunderstick addict. I love every one of them.

Anybody have a Thunderstick III they want to comment on? Trying to compare it to the MOAB.
