He's no 'geezer'
« on: March 21, 2011, 07:11:00 PM »
Congratulations to Jack Rhudy of Damascus, VA. He won the Longbow class at the 2011 I.B.O. Indoor World Championship. This is the second year in a row he has done this. The special thing is that Jack is 69 years old.

Jack used a Samick Banshee longbow and a Sitka Spruce arrow.

An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it's going to launch you into something great.

Congratulations Jack.  These young whippersnappers can learn a lot from the "older generation".
Some of us olders ones can too.

great job!!!
“instinctive archery” is more like playing the violin. Without practice you may remember the mechanics, but you will not be a virtuoso.

Congrats...♠
Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing. TGMM ♥
