Man that Fred Eichler is a trip! I watched his show last night where he shoots his biggest Muley from the ground and you wanna talk about excitement! He had me so wound up watching him jump around you would have thought I shot that big mule deer. Anybody else see this show?

that was a great show, having the does go by that close and not bust him - then that buck. He about drove my wife crazy, but how do you explain that reaction to someone who has no interest in hunting?

It was an amazing hunt, a great buck.

Sorry but I'm a little taken back. He seems to be  putting on a show for the camera more lately.  It is too much for my liking. Maybe he is playing it up because folks have noted his excitement in the past. Tone it down man.

I'm not willing to approve of his antics just because he shoots a recurve.

On the other hand maybe at the beginning Fred was holding back a lil on camera. Now that people are getting used to his excitement,he's really being himself and letting go. Just hope he doesn't have a heart attack!I like his show!Gary.

I can tell you it is no act. That is just the way he is. I met him back in 2001 and we became good friends and that is the way he always acted when I hunted with him way before the camera was running. He is that way when he guides you too.

Fred is okay in my book! I really like his show and it's one of the only hunting shows I watch anymore. I like the fact that he's not a "trophy hunter" but he's satisfied by just taking any ole deer with his recurve. He's not just all about antlers. Not that there's anything wrong with trophy hunting though. Fred just seems like the "common man".

The thing I like about the show is they show the whole hunt. Scouting, setup, waiting, etc. It doesn't really give the delusion that you are going to climb up a tree with gear from these fine sponsors and pop your quarry in short order.

I like Fred for a bunch of reasons. He's a meat hunter. First come first served. And the fact that he does get that excited. I have a friend that when he gets a deer he gets so excited that one time he jump out of his treestand. The best part was it was a climber. And he had to call his uncle to bring him a ladder. Now that's excited. Dumb but excited

I agree with Mint.  I have known Fred since he moved to Ft. Collins from Florida in the late 80's/early 90's.  The level of enthusiasm and activity is just Fred.  He is always on the go and smiling while he is going.  He is also very grateful for what is happening to him right now.  He knows he is living his dream.

Met Fred and Michelle at the Wisconsin Bowhunter's Convention a few years ago.....they definitely are the real deal.  They are super, friendly people and do not have that "big ego attitude."  And if you ever email them, they answer back.  Love his show on the Outdoor channel.

I watch his show some he definitely gets excited. I still get excited but I don't jump around.

If he starts the crying and sobbing that others seem to be doing more of I will quit watching for sure.

Yeah he gets a "little" excited after the kill but I still like him. There is only two shows I watch on hunting now. Easton Bowhunting and Wild Within on the Travel Channel. With two thumbs up for Wild Within.
