Youth bows...who makes a good one?
« on: March 23, 2011, 03:31:00 PM »
I am wanting to pass my son's Black Rhino longbow down to his younger sister and get a little bigger/better bow for him.

I've looked at the Mad Dog Pup and like it a lot. I'm just curious what other options are available, preferably from North American bowyers.

Thanks.

Those are nice looking. If I'm not mistaken, I may have seen those bows at the Kalamazoo Expo. Thank you.

Any others?

Shafer Silvertip cub, not listed...you have to ask. Its a very affordable longbow. These others are great too.

mountainman,

Are Leon's bows by request only? Didn't see them on the website.

David,

Thanks for the info. Gonna shoot them an email.

I highly recommend the Schafer Silvertip Cub, excellent quality and service.  I bought one for my nephew several years back and it still shoots and looks great.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

Check out Dryad Bows and their Pheonix Lite $275.  Great bow.
