Here's my buddy. He hangs out with me in the shop when I'm making arrows, tries to get some petting when I am on the computer as you can see. He is a good companion.

She is Chief of Security.

She is a curious, rompy, adventurous, sweet, fierce, cuddly, childlike playmonster. She is a window through which I rediscover wonders and view new ones. I love to see her learn, and she is always teaching  me  something, too. Oh, and she needs me. Poor thing.

My last dog (Sheba) died in February of 2003. My schedule at the post office was so crazy that I did not feel it to be responsible of me to introduce a new dog to my chaotic home, so I suffered through the years. It was March 15th of 2006, now a regular carrier with a stable schedule, when I followed a spirit, and pulled into the animal shelter instead of getting the oil change my truck needed.

Thank God for Spirit. She needed me desperately, and I sure seem to need to have a dog. The two, Sheba and Spirit, may look similar, but they are unique unto themselves, and I marvel at the vast differences that seem to come up daily. But basically, they are dogs, dogs that love and desire to please their human companions, and so life goes on, in the manner it should.

Sheba (Shepard/Husky):

Spirit (Jindo gae):

I am a great lover of dogs. I don't currently have a canine companion.
I often wonder which would make the best bowhunters pal.
That is a lovely Jindo Gae Killy.
My best freind in California's g/f has a jindo named Jimbo.
I guess some people's sense of humor comes out in their pet's names.
