Wow, that Zircote riser and Tiger Myrtle limb bow is like the ultimate combo. I hear that if you visit the Widowworks they sprinkle pixie dust on you at the entryway which ensures that you can't leave without pulling out your credit card.

Trad-wing conspiracy.

BW's just look so good in photos. How am I ever gonna resist?

30pointbuck -

1. The BW extreme forward riser is a plus for me in that it promotes torque reduction.

2. Favor the BW physical wt. for stability.

3. Enjoy the foregiveness of the BW extra brace ht.

4. Secure with well known robust design.

5. Have enjoyed working in the past with the BW team.

Go with the B.W.. You won't regret it.I tried very many bows, and cannot find one that can perform better. The BW in med weight 45 to 50 lbs with a heavy arrow will perform amazingly. The customer service is second to none. You will not die of old age waiting on one. If you want a second set of limbs, they send them to you without having to tie up your riser, and will fit perfect. You will wind up with one if you keep on shooting anyway. Test drive one with different grips till you find which one you like.

Yes you can find a better performing bow.
I've owned both widows and Dyes.Very different in feel.Dye,as you can tell by the pics above, have a very high grip.Their mass weight is much less and Dye uses a very different limb design(tips swung way forward and wider). You really need to shoot both IMO to make a choice.

i have owned tones of good recurves, robertson, dye's,morrison, schafer and black widow..  They are all very nice bows, but the widows are truely smooth drawing and hard hitting, just a tough bow all around...  i still own the good ones and also have a PCH on order,,,  my new Talltines is a great bow also, smokin fast and stable

Mine is in woodland camo and really like the look.  I need to get some more of just the bow and not my ugly mug!

It's starting to get easier to make up my mind.
Those widow bow's are beautiful and sounds like they are really great shooters.

I own a Dale Dye and it is a true work of art, however, the waiting list is probably around 18 to 24 months. The best would be to order your widow now and place an order with Dale. You will be getting new bow fever in 18 months anyway and then you Dye will arrive. Best of both worlds.

I don't presently own a BW, but the important thing I've heard about them is that they are bomb proof - really tough bows. And the one that I recently pulled was strikingly smooth. I don't think you can go wrong with BW.

Hello:
Roger at BW will email you photo's of various woods.  Because there are differences in each wood, he can send several from which you can choose and then further select for front and back of limbs.  BW may have other woods not in their catalog, so you might want to ask about that.
Regards,
Kevin
