Bill Dunn/Zipper Bows/Textured Finish
« on: March 25, 2011, 01:37:00 AM »
I recently aquired a Zipper SXT with EVO limbs (carbon / foam).  I was and am more than impressed by the product that Bill produces.

There were some lines that showed up under the top veneer below the glass.  I sent Bill an email and pictures of the limbs.  I inquired regarding the integrity of the limb and also the looks of them.

Bill said he was surprised to see in and had not encountered it before, but they were ok to shoot.  He then proceeded to offer to build me a new set if I wished.  I abliged and took him up on his offer. Then before he sprayed them up, he PM'd me and offered to spray his new textured finish on them. I said yes in a hurry and paid to have the riser sprayed as well.

I just got the bow and new limbs back today and all I can say is WOW!!!

First, I cannot thank Bill enough for his customer service and generosity, it is Second To NONE!!

Second, his new finish is the bee's knees!!!  A perfect texture and matte finish that dulls the bow and provides just the right amount of grip.  The bow came back absolutly beautiful, and shoots even better!!!

Thanks again Bill!!!!

I love my Zipper, It has the combination of Performance and Solid Looks wrapped up in an awesome package. And as for Bill, true Gentleman and a man with Integrity. When you buy a Zipper and pay what you pay, the saying goes you get what you pay for, and in this day and age, you better and Bill Dunn does his finest to deliver on that.

Bill always seems to go above and beyond expectations. He and Tracy thoughtfully bring new designs and innovation to us and then backs it up with great customer service. The textured finish is just another example of that. Thanks, Bill and Tracy!

Bill is as good as they get. Zippers are unbeatable bows and yours looks awesome. This is the 1st time seeing that finish close up and I like it.

Jake, that's an amazing looking Zipper and I love that finish. Black Widow and Elmer Patton at Crow Creek use a similar or same finish and it is tough as nails. Congrats brother.

Oh yeah and Jake the coat hanger replacement wire in your GN quiver makes it look really good and adds a touch of class.    :biglaugh:

Striped in Curley Maple, with antler overlays. Limbs will have Ebony on the belly and antler tips. It's gonna be a long hot summer.Love seeing all the pictures of the Zipper bows,They are right you know, life is too short to shoot an ugly bow, lol.
