I purchased some Banana cut Gateways and whatever the spongy like material below the quill was thicker then what you see on most fletching feathers and when put to the stress of shooting that spongy like materials breaks away fairly easily from the quill and then you have a job on your hands trying to fix the arrow. I don’t know if that was just a bad batch or that is the quality control that goes on at Gateway. I have both in parabolic and have not noticed that issue…the quill is thinner but at long as I have glasses handy that does not bother me. You definitely what a good finished quill for fletching arrows and I say it is defiantly worth paying extra to get that good surface. I have not use AMG.

Just a thought - contact Stringstretcher here on this site. He may have some feathers he will sell you. I have send him a bunch of extras that I had. They are from wild turkeys and his quality is second to none. It would be worth asking.

TRU-FLITE...all round better quality. Better quill base, consistant color, better taper at leading edge and never had a bad fletch in a package. ,...Lloyd

I see Kustom King now offers feathers from BearPaw. Anyone tried them?

I have tried all three, but now only use Tru Flight. Just a better feather.

They all work but Tru Flite are more consistent. Im just going lose ,break and destroy my arrows any way. True flites are better.
