Chris Spikes did a sharpening clip on here a while back. His handle is Landshark 160. It works . I recently got a dozen..thanks again CJ and have everyone of them hair popping sharp. You can do a search and probably find it.
The bleeders come with instructions or they used to. You have to crimp the end a bit and it will stay. Fine heads .RC

I used a Lanskey sharpener on mine, just takes a bit of time but they sharpen nicely. I do not use the bleeders .... I touch them up with an Accu Sharp from 3 Rivers

If you got the new head, I would recommend just trying the RADA wheelie sharpener on them.  I get them shaving sharp in less than a minute straight out of the package.  Good luck.

I just use a butchers steel. Gets them razor sharp in no time. I never used a bleeder blade so I can't help with that.

Sounds like a job for a three sided Jewelstick.  I do mine on the large 12 inch.

Please Note:  The first step in the above tutorial is no longer necessary.  Since Dave Oligee bought Simmons, he has improved the factory grind angle significantly.

Here's a link to a video tutorial I did also:    http://www.youtube.com/user/landshark160#p/u/2/MtNBQoVlz80

Currently, the bleeder blades have to be crimped, as RC said, but that is about to change.  Dave is in the process of changing over to a self-securing style of bleeder blade.  It's good to see the company back in the hands of someone who really cares about the final product.

Chris....love your video. I've been using the Razor Edge system for about 30+ years on two blade heads. Nice job!

I just recieved a 6 pack of Inceptors. The heads out of the package were sharp....they cut hair, but not shaving sharp.
I thought I would try my Edgemaker Pro, WOW! Only a couple minutes of work, had the head easily shaving hair.
Here is the link. This sharpener also works great on knives.

I have a tool very similar to the edge maker with its x steel and it does a fine job on the Simmons. I had NO luck with anything else to my satisfaction .
