I need help
« on: March 28, 2011, 08:49:00 PM »
To keep from buying another bow!

For some reason I have a heckuva itch for a 62in takedown curve. I don't need one. I have two very good custom bows that do everything I want.

Went through a bunch of bows to get to the two I have and I have know reason to get anymore.

WILL POWER...DISCIPLINE... yeah that's it.

Hey
I have the same affliction.
Don't know why but I crave a 62" recurve also.
So far I'm doing ok. But I think I had better stay away from any big shoots with lots of bowyers there.

Good luck to you.

John

I had the same itch a few months ago.  Lack of money solved my problem, until I had sense hit me in the head.

None of us need another bow, but it's nice to want. There is nothing wrong with wanting a bow and nothing wrong with buying one. I say if you can afford it, go for it and enjoy.

A 62" recurve is just perfect in my mind.  Not too long to use in a treestand, yet smooth as silk on the draw.  And a takedown would be perfect for any bowhunting trips that might require airlines.  Just take it apart, wrap it in a case, and throw it in your duffle.  Of all the bows ever made I think a 62" takedown recurve is the best of everything.

Holy heck... it must be something in the air because I been wanting a 62" PMAIII for some odd reason... which is more weird since I only have a 25" draw!!!

Rob... I can help YOU... send me all YOUR trade fodder and cash... that way YOU won't have the means to buy YOURSELF another bow... but I will... and I'm perfectly happy with my glutinous ways in the archery world, lol... so it's a win-win situation for us both.    :readit:

Best of luck to you but I fear you case is terminal and you will be needing another hole in your head... oops I meant bow.    ;)

No help here--can't have too many bows.

After reading a bunch about Jack Howard, I would jike a 64 to 68 inch recurve but finding someone to build one is tough........

You don't really need more than 2 good bows,so you'll have the consistence you need. But if it is the pleasure of owning more this is another story.I have something like 90 bows but I try to use only one for hunting and practice.I shoot 5 or 6 everyday but at short distances where to change isn't a issue.
