Tall Tines on Order
« on: March 30, 2011, 10:58:00 PM »
Had been just shooting hybrid LB's for quite some time. Love them.

I had been wanting a D-shaped bow or a new curve.
My Mohawk deal didn't materialize so I focused on what curve would be a good selection.

I had shot a TT's 58"-55@28 (15" riser) and a 62"- 64@28(16" riser) on several occassion. Both bows were quite impressive yet the 62"r was a better fit even at 64#'s.

Couldn't restrain myself and just had to place an order today for a new Tall Tines. Thanks goes out to Brian and Steve O. for their guidance.

What woods did you go with Friend?
Not that it matters. I've never seen an ugly Tall Tines.   :)
And your right, they do shoot.

Congrats. on a great choice!  I recently picked up a Myrtlewood 3 pc T.T. from Donald Rowan with the 16" riser..58", 51#@28..very smooth, fast, and a wonderful grip... I was expecting a heavy physical wt. but found the Myrtlewood riser and limbs to be not only stunning in appearance, but light in the hand..... I see good things ahead with mine and I'm sure you will be happy with your choice.

BTW, I'm shooting 10.78 gpp and it loves a heavy arrow.

Sounds like a great wood combination.

Brian is really good at matching woods, and his bows shoot better than any bow I've ever tried.

I think you will be pleased.

Thank you guys for the positive comments. They are definately confidence builders.

The only option still open is the draw wt. Fifty-five pounds has been my favored draw wt. Have been shooting 51# the past six months due to my lack of moderation when it comes to practise sessions. After again, shooting a 58" 55#@28 TT's yesterday, I started reminiscing.

I have not ordered a custom bow yet, but that is one of the exact combinations I have always thought of getting.  I love Macassar and Tamo Ash!  I'll be interested in seeing how this one looks, ought to be a beauty!

Just me, but I would go with the 55#.  Brian's bows are super smooth and you won't regret it one bit.  Congrats on the order placed that's a beautiful combo.

That bow should be a Master Piece with a killer instinct.. with the Macassar in the riser you'll know it's in your hand  :)

Congrats Friend another well thought out project...

I am stoked at the prospect of owning a Tall Tines. Now if I can muster a little patience would most definately be helpful.

Have to have pics. Pics add much enjoyment to the TG community. Not into displaying pics of my own kills for some reason. I guess I just don't photograph that well or I am just plain ugly.

The hypocrytical part is that I enjoy seeing the harvests of others.

New TT bow pics for sure!!!!

Hey Bud hang in there on the "patience" thing, it could be a grueling next few months, but it will be worth the wait. Enjoyed shooting with you Wed. Take care!

I made a gentleman's commitment to Brian two days ago and sent him my deposit yesterday.

The TT's currently in the classifieds should be a perfect match for some lucky individual.

Just the same, thank you for mentioning them.
