I was about to say 145 tips on those 3555s but scrolled down and saw Dave already beat me to it.

Mine are 30.5 and I draw my #50 @ 28 to 29, so it's probably 52 or so. I must admit, though, that I have never checked the weight.

I like 2016 at 50# with dacron string 145gr up front, 29" arrow, I usually need to go to 2018 though if using FF materail.

You don't say your draw length if 28"s try a Heritage 150 cut to 29"s with 225 up front or a GT 35/55 cut to 29"s with 175-200. I know all the charts and calculators will say you will be weak, and you will be a bit weak, but carbons are a different animal and recover from paradox much quicker than other materials and straighten up real quick. Trust me and try it, you will be  right there with both those arrows. I shot with a guy shooting the same bow which was 52#s at his draw(27.5"s) and he shot a .500 spine cut to 29"s with 175-190 up front for perfect flight. Shawn

Also if you are shooting the rope that they call a string, than you may even need a tad more up front. Shawn

Sorry for the triple post, I just wanted to say, I was impressed with the Samick. There was 15-20 guys shooting everything from selfbows to $1700 Dale Dye and me with my Belcher ILF yesterday and that Samick shot with them all, performed very well and was very quiet the way the guy had that skinny 8 strand string set up. Told me he paid $250 for it, fit and finish was nice as well. Shawn

Had a Sage @ 50# a while back, as I recall I shot GT 3555, 29" w/ 175gr up front. That at my 26.5 draw. It worked for "me".
You don't say what your arrows are doing (or not doing) that has you unsatisfied. Lots of variables to consider.
BTW Shawn, that was a Samick Phantom I was totin' around on Sat., a good shooter, but I left "drooling" after seein' all the sweet Bows at that shoot that I couldn't try out. Not a LH in the bunch!

I just tuned one for a guy, go with the GT 35/55's, we cut his to 29", and shoot anywhere between 150-175grains up front should be good to go.. We put on a Bear weatherest, and I made a D-97 flemish with wool yarn puffs, whisper quiet on release, all you heard was PFFT! His string from the factory was too short. We ended up with a brace  height of between 7&1/2 -7 & 3/4 inches, with string nock 1/4 above center.
I found the Sage easy to tune, and easy to shoot, in fact just as good as bows costing 3-4 times as much. Hope this helps.

Off the top of my head I'd say 2018s.

You could also go with 2213s but your 2018s might be better.

What length arrow are you shooting?

I have a 40# @ 28 Sage I use to keep my strength up. I've always shot tapered cedars, and my old stock of 50-55 spines seem to fit every bow I've had between 40 to 52#. I love wooden arrows!
