About a month ago, I called Elmer Patton and placed an order for one of his Black Feather longbows. I mentioned getting a plain "blood and guts" type bow to keep the cost down. Well, since I placed the order,and with my birthday approaching, my son contacted Elmer without my knowing it, and ordered an upgrade. So, here I was expecting a plain bow,and our three kids picked up the price difference to surprise me with an upgraded model. What a surprise, and a great gift. And I must say,great kids,too!
Here's the bow that was delivered yesterday. Cocobolo/figured myrtle riser, with burl myrtle over actionboo limbs. Both riser and limbs have ebony accents. 60" long and 56@28".
