The albino pachyderm proved to be resilient - marching through the Wasatch Mountains, wading the Great Salt Lake, crossing the lava flats of southern Idaho, swimming the Snake River, traipsing over the Blue Mountains, and finally taking on the mighty Columbia River itself.

Still haven't heard from LPCJON in NJ if he got his package. I will scratch something up and resend it if he hasn't gotten it. I wish I woulda paid the little extra now for the delivery conformation.

I had a funny looking long white object hanging out of my mailbox today. Then I remembered that there was a white elephant in route from Ohio, and Magnus. Matt you did fine fella and thanks, I've been looking at getting a larger style one of these lately...And this one will do just fine.
I got a Gerber Steadman knife and will edit and post pics on here tomorrow. Thanks again Magnus and I'll be gettin with you soon about some of them arrows....

The white elephant completed his circuit and dumped on my back porch today before climbing into the loft in my barn for another year.  Some things may still be in delivery mode, but thanks to all who made it a joy again this year.

I got out my tools and opened the package . . . and here's what I found:

AWESOME Nairobi Wool hat that fits perfectly.
Italian military shirt that also fits perfectly.
2 stone heads that you can see in the picture.
A sharpener that probably will do no good on the stone heads, but should do wonders on my metal ones.
Some beaver fur . . .  or seal?
A saw blade that may finally inspire me to make a knife!

I got my package from Ragnorock Forge today.
Broadheads

armgaurd

longbow stringer

stringwax

smoke in a bottle

a whole bag of mink string silencers (I won't be buying silencers in the forseeable future)

And a really cool handmade fire starter kit that includes an antler handle spark rod, a magnesium bar, an osage handled neck knife (forged from a file blade), and sheaths for all.

And lastly, a small forged hook threaded to screw onto an arrow shaft, for scrounging up lost arrows in the field. At least I think that is what it is. Thats what I'll be using it for...

You're welcome, smalson.  That is beaver, should be enough to get a few sets of silencers.  That bandsaw blade makes very nice lightweight knives, and great trade points.  The steel has been annealed, so you need to heat treat anything you make out of it.

After some tough sledding and a short sea journey the "white elephant" made it from Homer Alaska to the interior of British Columbia.Homer Dave, thank you!!! I recieved a Magellan GPS with instruction book which I will need, a six pack of Grizzly broadheads and various blunts and hex heads that I always need because I miss so many grouse. Thanks Dave you went above and beyond!!!! Bob
